London, innit?

Landed in London yesterday and came straight over to our wee flat in Chelsea.  Hells bells it's been nearly 5 months since we were here.   We REALLY miss it but work has kept us away for ages!  Always tickled pink to pull a pint of milk from the freezer and make a coffee when we walk in though; it makes us feel we haven't been away...

Had been planning to go to The Builders Arms in Chelsea for dinner but a family get together came into play. Turns out my sister Carmel is in London for a couple of days so we all hooked up.  She's here for a pop up restaurant lunch party at Claridges. 

Great time at Brockwell Lido Cafe last night.  Really fun to catch up with sister Carmel and brother Damian and other extended family.   And quite atmospheric to watch the open air pool twinkling away as we enjoyed dinner.  Then back to Damian's sitooterie for a few post prandials. The Olympic buzz in London is insane. Insane, we tell you...

Having a lazy wee morning so far.  Breakfast in bed and catching up on emails etc.  Lovin' the London!
