We've been enjoying the Toronto sunshine - on and off. Yup, the weather has been, for the most part, gorgeous but the sky has peppered the city with a little drizzle here and there. But hey; thats's fine. The odd downpour makes useful light relief and we suppose the gardeners are happy.
Yesterday was a fun packed day. We hooked up with the team from City TV and filmed first at the beautiful Elgin Theatre to create a promo for our role as Red Carpet Correspondents during The Toronto International Film Festival. Working with Dina from BT was an absolute scream! Blimey - that girl is an UTTER riot and everyone we met fell instantly in love with her! The second section of our promo was filmed at the swimnming pool in The Grand Hotel on Jarvis; if you watch the telly next week you'll see that we certainly made a 'splash'. Can't say more for now but you'll see the evidence playing on a loop on City over the next few days. We're SO thrilled to be doing the red carpet at TIFF. Madonna's gonna be there, as are Brad and Mr Clooney. And Nicole Kidman and a host of others. Should be a whole bag of fun!
Had a great evening in Oakville last night with Ramsin from Cityline and with pals Gale and Tina, as well as Tina's sister Victoria and her hubby Gord. We went to this wonderful resto' called Jonathan's and have to report that the food was actually VERY nice. Awesome rack of lamb - just sayin'!
Today we worked from home on our various newspaper and magazine columns and then took a drive up to Foresthill to see some dear friends for a gossip and a lovely catch up. It's always fantastic to chill out and catch our breath.
Tonight we're off to the open air Barry Manilow concert at York University - it' sure to be an explosion of hight camp! Reckon we're in for a lot of fun!
Hope this finds you all well, hale and hearty,
More later, lovelies,
