Real Radio and The Tall Ships at Greenock

Up at Dawn's whatnot for our Real Radio show.  In studio for 9am though we don't actually go live till 10am.  And boy; does the show move quickly!  It's actually hard to comprehend just how fast paced it all is and before we knew it we were in the closing minutes.  Played a load of stuff we love like Mika, Elton John, Pet Shop Boys, Queen and Pearces etc and took loads of facebook messages, texts and phonecalls.  We're four weeks into our initial run and we're loving every minute!

After the show was over we went to TK Maxx (sister company of our beloved Homesence in Canada) where we found the most AWESOME bargains.  A 24" x 18" antique Venetian style mirrored tray for £20 and the most gorgeous yellow backed grey cushions with text print design for £20.  This company never ceases to amaze us.

After quickly dashing home we were picked up to drive to Greenock for the Tall Ships gathering where we hosted the main stage area to mind bogglingly massive crowds.  The Magic Numbers and Gamu were headlining and the crowds were so generous of spirit to both acts and to the other supporting acts, all of whom put on a fab' show.  We also found time to wander around and visit some of the beautiful boats and meet some of the crews.  HELLO sailors!

Now back at home we're catching up with blogs, facebooks and twitter and outlining our next columns for The Toronto Star and The Sunday Mail.  Jammies on and a glass of wine.  Life is good at the moment but we never take our blessings for granted.

And tomorrow?  We're doing another day of hosting duties at The Tall Ships and this time Deacon Blue are our headline act.  As major fans we'll have to keep the proffessional front in hand!

Hope this finds you all well, hale and hearty!

Cheers for now,

Colin and Justin xx
