Vancouver

What's not to like!?  Those rugged mountains and that beautiful sea; absolutely gorgeous.  With a man made metropolis, nestling beautifully, between. 

The folk here are realy lovely and have taken us into their fold in a very generous way.  Yup, we're having a ball.  MOBBED event at BC Home and Garden Show yesterday. Rather staggered, in fact, by the turnout! Everyone seemed to be having a super time.  We never take it for granted that we draw such huge crowds but we're delighted this is the case.  Makes our job as host so much fun.  We LOVE the interface with our audience and our fans...

Then dinner last night at Fairmont Pacific Rim with Greg and Erik - great fun.  Lovely friends of ours and great to catch up.  Today we have an instore lunch at Lanes with the winner of our $7,500 furniture contest. Congrats to the lucky winner!

In the meantime we're loving the view from our hotel room.  We're wrapped up in white towelling robes and chilling out for a moment.  Sometimes it's good to catch ones breath before the race starts.  Perched high at the top of The Pan Pacific - with ocean views to die for - we're utterly captivated by the snow capped mounatin ranges and the sparkling ocean that lie between us and the great outdoors.  The ocean is peppered with tankers and massive boats and it's a busy yet calming scene. 

Little wonder that Vancouver has just been voted the best city in which to live in recent tourism poll!  We'll always go back to Toronto as that's our real spiritual home from home after the UK... but OMG: Vancouver is slowly and surely seducing us...
