Saddened to hear of AA Gill\'s death.

His crafty sentences and clever wit (acerbic sometimes, creative always) inspired our own early wordplay, long before telly beckoned, in the newspaper industry. During our tenure as columnists at The Glasgow Herald newspaper in Scotland (and forever, thereafter) AA Gill was a huge inspiration. RIP.
