So we took a down at heels log cabin...

Here's the project complete.  Note how we don't shy away from mixing wood types (Mother Nature assembled loads of different trees in a forrest and they play nicely together) and how we use lots of black accent pops to anchor everything.  The ebony chairs work particularly well as a foil to the Hemlock table.  The grey painted kitchen at the rear was hand built to fit the space while the accessories were rooted out in stores like Homesense, Winners and Marshalls.  The nickel pendant lights came from Casalife and the faux antler chandelier was a second hand broken find that we carefully reassembled in association with a qualified electrician.
