Same cabinets? Can they work? Hell YES! We painted these ones black, added mirror to the front of the top elevation, then inset scribed jigsaw cut lumber to add detail. We removed the cabinet to the left of the kitchen window and added open shelving to improve eye lines. We played around with the base cabinets (reversing one of them and adding some infill MDF gave us open storage) then wrapped surfaces in wood counter from IKEA Canada stained dark with 'food prep' suitable' coloration. Oh, and new hardwares...
This, lovelies, is how we like to do it. And it's always a pleasure...never a chore.
