Waking up, across the pond, to the sad news that Sir David Frost has passed away. We had the good fortune to guest, 10 years past, on 'Through The Keyhole', one of Sir David's many UK TV shows, and we hit it off like a house on fire. So well, in fact, he took us for dinner that evening, with his other studio guests, as soon as the show wrapped. We listened, fascinated, as the veteran broadcaster chatted about many things; subjects that spanned the infamous Frost Nixon interviews all the way to his love of Great Britain and his work in the international broadcasting community. We were TV newbies, back then, but Sir David treated us so well and made us feel utterly welcome at the intimate soiree. Several years later, we ran into him again in London restaurant The Wolseley, when he made a point of dashing over to our table to say hello. A true gentleman and a driving force that helped shape the face of British broadcasting. Our sincerest condolences to his family.
