London calling!

Blimey - we LOVE to travel, and, even when exhausted, as we are today following a busy few weeks in Toronto, we’re totally excited to have flown the Atlantic and be back in London, England. Yup, we’re home for two weeks and couldn’t be happier. Okay, we could be a wee bit happier if we’d actually managed to get some proper sleep since arriving, but hey ho; we’ll get through this teeny wee dose of jet lag.

We arrived back in Britain this morning and have already settled ourselves back into our pied a terre in Chelsea. Our wee Capital pad is only 600 square feet but it’s amply sufficient for occasional stop overs and, while admittedly compact end bijoux, it feels like home.

As soon as we arrived back we grabbed a couple of hours ziz and then headed out to Kings Road (to Pizza Express) for lunch. We love the scran in there and, even though we concurred that the branch could do with a refit. the pizza’s are great. They do these lovely ones that are only 500 calories, due to their extra thin bases and the fact they have a giant hole in the middle (rather like a plate sized Polo mint) which they cram with rocket and onion saled. Gorgeous!

After lunch we browsed some of the home stores on King’s Road where we oggled a sexy collection of home wares that will no doubt feature on some of our TV projects, magazine and newspaper projects. Glad to see that Habitat on Kings Road has remained open and Heals was as busy as ever. The stores on Fulham road are also great and we had a wee peek there too; lots of little independent traders and brilliant antique outlets make this a great place to browse. Shopping and scanning done, we headed back to our wee flat and went through the pile of mail that has built up in our absence. A boring task but one that needs to be done nevertheless.

Had dinner in Sydney Arms, our local, where the staff always look after us. Today we’re having a lazy afternoon until our car picks us up at 3.30 to go to the BBC studio’s to film ‘Pointless’ a fun quiz show.

We’ll let you know how that goes!

Trust this finds you all well, hale and hearty. Wherever you’re reading this… go safely!

Cheers,

Colin and Justin xx
