I'm loving that silver bedside table! Makes me want to do the same with my plain white ones. Someone stop me.
Dulux have a range of metallic paints now that are just so gorgeous to use that I could - almost - enjoy painting with them! I did a very dull louvred wardrobe door in metallic silver and it's the highlight of my bedroom. And I have a lonely and dated little old oak dining chair waiting for a makeover, and I think it'd look sensational in the same colour. I like the curtains too. Unfortunately my so-called silver curtains turned out more beige (though they are still lovely - more "antique silver") but your photoshop ones have made me very jealous! The room looks great in silver, though I still hanker for a bit of Asian-style reds or pinks or something to highlight that sensational bed. Whatever you go with, enjoy. Making over my bedroom was the most fun I've had in there in years ![]() Cheers Jenny |

Jenny - get the spray paint out my dear! Primer coat then your silver spray paint will do the trick on any piece of furniture and it gets into the nooks and cranies without too much trouble
I think I might have been a grafitti artist in a past life lolP xx |

Oh Pim, why are you on the other side of the planet when I need you? I am completely retarded when it comes to spray paint. My last attempt was horrible, all sticky and drippy, and my garage and car still have some glittery highlights. Think I'll stick with (to?) a paintbrush!
And speaking of graffiti, a couple of years ago our local youth centre was actually conducting spray paint art classes. Can you believe it. It's easier for teenagers to buy cigarettes and drugs than spray paint in this country - except when their social workers get it for them! Leafy suburban Castle Hill suddenly had more graffiti than Rome. Cheers, and will post a pic of the finished chair after next weekend. Jenny |
